The 2020 Festival of Wreaths and Trees in Mount Union
To: All organizations, families, individuals, and businesses

Greetings from Leslie and Christine Armagost!
2020 has been a very strange, very stressful year, as I'm sure everyone knows. After much consideration, we've decided that instead of an in-person event, we'll be holding the 26th Annual Festival of Wreaths and Trees in Mount Union online.
To that end, we've made a public Facebook group for the Festival. As of this writing it's still under construction, but the group is open and can be joined or, if you don't have a Facebook account, viewed. (Feel free to post to the group and talk to each other - this is a community event after all!)

Or search for "Festival of Wreaths and Trees in Mount Union" on Facebook.
Starting at 10 AM on Friday December 11, 2020, through 8 PM on Saturday December 12 in that Facebook group, you'll be able to see all the entries, and vote in poll posts for the winners in each category (Wreaths, Adult Trees, and Youth Trees).
On Sunday December 13 at noon, the winners will be announced and contacted.
The online entries will remain throughout the holiday season and beyond for all to enjoy! We'll also be printing out pictures for the Festival’s scrapbooks.
If you would like to enter a wreath or tree, please contact us in one of the following ways with your entry form information (Name, Contact Method(s), Category, and Theme - see enclosed guidelines):

When you get pictures (and/or video) of your item(s), send them by one of the above contact methods by 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
We know that not everyone interested in the Festival has access to Facebook or the internet. To help with that, we ask that anyone who is able to (safely) help someone they know who otherwise wouldn't be able to see or participate in the Festival to do so. And if you need help, give us a call at (719) 332-6975. We can arrange to get pictures of your items that you'd like to enter, and bring pictures (or devices on which to show them) over the Festival weekend itself.
This year's guidelines - which will be a little different, because of the change in format - are included with this letter, and can be found on the Facebook group page.
Because of school compliance with COVID-19 safety measures, we are unable to provide live music from our local students, but hopefully the live music portion of the Festival will return next year. If you would like to perform for a Facebook Live stream or by making a video we can post to the group, or know someone who would, please contact (or have that person contact) Leslie Armagost at (719) 332-6975.
As last year, we'd like to express our gratitude to Cathy and Norm Wilson for their hard work in previous years! We can only hope to honor their past efforts, and none of this would be possible without them.
We also deeply appreciate your support! We hope to help our community make the 2020 Festival of Wreaths and Trees part of the holiday celebration we've all been looking forward to.
